In the summer of 1975, while a Pastor at a small church in Southwest New Mexico, Ralph Hensley received a vision from the Lord.

He saw a large piece of land with large trees and a small stream running through it.

There was also a building that would seat several hundred people. The building had no walls indicating that all denominational barriers would be broken down. There were other buildings and people working on the grounds. The news of Ralph’s vision spread and the people of Trinity church organized the incorporation of the Southwest Christian Center. Now, they just needed to find the land!

By Summer of 1977, the Center holds the dedication and launches the first family camp; people come with RVs, tents, and sleeping bags for the six days of fellowship.
